We are the cause of our Problem: Lack of Y chromosomes due to smoking habit

Men who smoke are more likely than non-smokers to lose the male sex chromosome - which could explain why male smokers are more prone to certain cancers than women who smoke, scientists have said.
Researchers found that male smokers had significantly fewer blood cells with a Y chromosome compared to non-smokers, and that the trend increased with heavy smoking - and disappeared when a man gave up cigarettes.

“We have previously demonstrated an association between loss of the Y chromosome in blood and greater risk for cancer. We now tested if there were any lifestyle or clinical factors that could be linked to loss of the Y chromosome,” said Lars Forsberg of Uppsala University in Sweden, who led the study published in the journal Science.
“Out of a large number of factors that were studied, such as age, blood pressure, diabetes, alcohol intake and smoking, we found that loss of the Y chromosome in a fraction of the blood cells was more common in smokers than in non-smokers,” Dr Forsberg said.

The risk was dose dependent, indicating that the more cigarettes a man smoked, the greater the proportion of blood cells with missing Y chromosomes. Giving up cigarettes led to a reversal of the mutation, Dr Forsberg said.
“These results indicate that smoking can cause loss of the Y chromosome, and that this process might be reversible. We found that the frequency of cells with loss of the Y chromosome was not different among ex-smokers compared to men who had never smoked. This discovery could be very persuasive for motivating smokers to quit,” he said.

Cancer is incurable. Please prevent it by stopping smoking habits.

FINALLY THE ORIGIN OF SELFIE : Caused by a psychological condition

A Study Proved That People Who Take Gym Selfies Have a Psychological Condition
A recent study taken at Brunel University drew some interesting conclusions about gym selfies and individual psychology. The study revealed that people who post about:
- Their diet
- Their exercise routine
- Thier curved shapes
- Their pink lips
- and share photos of every latest outfit , is actually a psychological form of self-admiration

With the technological age of instant photo sharing through a number of social media apps like Instagram or Snapchat, researchers found that those who take gym selfies have heightened "narcissistic" character traits.

When it comes to diagnosing narcissistic traits, studies claim that an excessive interest in one's physical appearance is also considered as a craving for self-flattery, admiration, and regular ego boosts that are easily achieved through social media media posts.

Although advocating for a healthy lifestyle is certainly encouraged, narcissists tend to ‘broadcast the effort they put into their physical appearance,’ a lot more so than others.

The DSM-5 also believes that a narcissistic personality concerns oneself with the ‘self-perception of being unique, superior and associated with high-status people.’

Finally we know where the selfie spirit came from

SCIENTISTS NOW GOD????

Scientist have finally created a living thing. They created and bred a MALE mice with no Y chromosomes

The Y chromosomes are what determines if a child will be a male or female. Only male has Y chromosomes. Females have double X (XX Chromosomes) while males have Y (XY chromosomes)
So, will this little mice never produce male children though its a male?
Are they trying to prove God wrong by saying males can exist without Y chromosomes

See Ochuko for exam for abroad: Nineteen students get score of ‘0’ for cheating

Nineteen students automatically failed last month’s national Grade-12 exit exams for bribery and bringing electronic devices and “prohibited documents” into the exam room, the Ministry of Education announced on its Facebook page yesterday.
The ministry’s discipline council, in cooperation with Anti-Corruption Unit officials, decided to disqualify the 19 students with a zero score, said Ministry spokesman Ros Salin. One student bribed a proctor, one used a cell phone to cheat, and others brought mobile phones, cheat-sheets, calculators and a smartwatch.
“They must fail automatically when they commit an error with the [exam] regulation or abuse the regulation,” Salin said. The students can retake the exam next year, he added.
Sixty-two percent of students who sat this year’s exam passed, compared to 55.8 percent last year, and only a 25.7 percent in 2014 – the first year of an extensive crackdown on rampant cheating and corruption.

contraband items at Sisowath High School in Phnom Penh prior to the start of the nationwide Grade 12 examinations last month.

I have always said that, if the whites are not corrupt, the word 'corruption' wouldn't have been in the dictionary. Lol

NDLEA Apprehends Man Carrying Methamphetamine Worth N31m At Lagos Airport

The suspect, Abiodun Israel Banjo
A 45-year-old Nigerian based in Pretoria, South Africa, Abiodun Israel Banjo has been arrested by officials of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA for possessing parcels of drugs at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.
According to a statement issued on Monday, Sept. 12th by NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, the arrest took place during the outward screening of passengers on a South African Airline flight to South Africa.
The parcels of drugs tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 3.435kgs with an estimated street value of N31 million in Nigeria
Describing how the drugs were discovered, NDLEA Commander, Ahmadu Garba explained that during a routine luggage check, NDLEA agents noticed that Mr. Banjo’s two bags contained methamphetamine concealed under clothing and food items.

However, the suspect, a graduate of the Technical College of Ijebu-Ode from Osun State, denied knowledge of the drug in his bag, claiming that a friend gave him the bag in South Africa.
“I work in Pretoria. My friend in South Africa called me saying that his brother would give me two bags containing foodstuff to take to him. He also promised to give me two thousand dollars. I opened the bags and checked thoroughly, but could not find anything criminal. That was how I accepted to take the bags,” Mr. Banjo explained.
“I was surprised when the drug was detected under the bags. I feel very sad that my friend has implicated me.”
NDLEA Chief Executive Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah called on members of the public to be aware of tricks employed by drug trafficking cartels.
“Drug traffickers recruit mules by enticing them with money. They are very clever in concealing drugs, as drugs have been detected in bags, electronics, foodstuff and clothes among others. We strongly advise that all passengers should endeavor to pack their bags themselves and avoid taking bags for others,”
The NDLEA boss added that ignorance was no excuse in drug trafficking and the suspect would be charged for unlawful exportation of narcotics.
“A person shall be deemed to have exported a narcotic drug or psychotropic substance under this NDLEA Act; if he brings to or deposits the narcotic drug or psychotropic substance concerned at any time at any customs area such as airports, customs port or any other customs point generally,” Mr. Abdallah explained.
